The University came into establishment in 2013, vide Uttaranchal University Act, 2012 (Uttarakhand Act. No. 11 of 2013) as a Private University and is located in Dehradun, the Capital city of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Uttaranchal University has been recognized by the University Grants Commission, Government of India under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 and other statutory bodies of the State and the nation. Its lush green campus is situated on NH-72, Dehradun- India.

Uttaranchal Dehradun Scholarship
Uttaranchal University Scholarship. Candidates who scored more than 90.01% in the qualifying examination (UG/PG) are eligible for a 30% tuition fee scholarship. Candidates achieved > 80.01% to 90% in Qualifying Examination (UG/PG) earn 20% Scholarship on Tuition Fee.
Scholarship Policy
- Scholarship seats are limited and will be awarded after the commencement of classes.
- The mentioned percentiles are only the eligibility to apply for a scholarship.
- Candidates securing the above percentages are required to fill out the UIT Application form.
- Without relevant academic scores, scholarship applications will not be considered.
- The final decision of granting a scholarship is with the scholarship committee. The management reserves the right to change the scholarship policy at their discretion.
Domicile Benefits
- Uttaranchal University has a provision for providing a  26% concession on the Tuition Fee for Uttarakhand domicile students on merit-cum-means basis, to be decided by the University subject to fulfillment of the following conditions by the student:
- The student’s gross annual family income should not be more than INR 8 lakhs. The student should possess necessary documents attesting this fact
- The student should be in possession of a valid ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’/’Mool Nivas Praman Patra’/’Adhiwas Niwas Braman Patra’ from Uttarakhand state.
