The MBBS course starts with the basic pre and para-clinical subjects such as biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, pathology, and forensic medicine including toxicology and pharmacology. The students simultaneously obtain hands-on training in the wards and outpatient departments, where they interact with real patients for five years. NEET UG

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admissions to MBBS/BDS courses in India. A total of 15% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories, and 7.5% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories.

NEET PG

NEET PG counselling is the process through which eligible candidates are allotted seats in various postgraduate medical courses offered by government and private colleges across India. The counselling is conducted by MCC i.e., the Medical Counselling Committee of the DGHS i.e., Directorate General of Health Services on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
Candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG entrance examination must register on the official website of MCC and participate in the counselling process.

  • Diploma courses take two years to conclude.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS in India

  • The candidate must be of 17 years of age at the time of MBBS admission in India.
  • The candidate must not exceed the age of 25 years.
  • The medical candidate needs to score 50% marks in 12th grade for general category students. Reserved category candidates must achieve a minimum of 40%.
    For AIIMS, the percentage is 60% and 45% for SC/ST and OBC.
  • A medical candidate must have the primary subjects in 12th grade should be Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
    NEET is mandatory.
  • Other entrance exams which a medical candidate can appear for- JIPMER or AIIMS entrance tests, Kerala CEE, Karnataka CET, etc.
